1. Definitions
1.1 “Us/we” shall mean Bond Plumbing & Heating Services. Registered Address; Coppice View, Perry Lane, Langham, CO4 5PH.
1.2 “You” shall mean you: the customer (The person or organisation for whom we agree to carry out services and/or supply goods).
1.3 “Services” shall mean any work we do for you.
1.4 “Goods” shall mean any materials, fixtures, fittings, appliances (including, but not limited to, boilers, pumps, valves, tanks, radiators or parts thereof) supplied by us to you.
1.5 “Terms” These are the terms and conditions under which we provide our services and/or goods to you. We may change these Terms from time to time.
1.6 “Quote” or “Estimate” shall mean the estimated price of services or goods. All estimates are provided in good faith and all reasonable steps are taken to ensure their accuracy.
1.7 “Writing” or “Written” includes digital communications such as email, text messages or messages via messaging apps such as WhatsApp.
2. Our Terms
2.1 By asking us to attend your property or provide you with an estimate, you are accepting our terms.
2.2 These Terms and all contracts awarded between us and you shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English law.

4. Contacting you
4.1 If we need to contact you, we will do so by telephone, email, text message or via messaging apps such as WhatsApp, unless instructed otherwise by you.
5. Permissions
5.1 Unless otherwise informed we will assume that you are, or have the permission of, the property owner to complete the requested works and therefore accept liability for any payments for Services and/or Goods provided by us.
5.2 It is your responsibility to ensure the relevant planning consents and/or building control inspections are obtained.
6. Estimates
6.1 The amounts detailed in the estimate for goods is based on prices available at the time. The price of goods cannot be guaranteed until a deposit is paid.
6.2 The amount detailed in the estimate for labour will be in hours (minimum one hour) or days. This amount quoted will assume one person for a defined period of time. The work may take less actual time if we choose to send more than one person to complete the job. The amount quoted for labour will be based on the assessment we are able to make using the information available to us at the time. If once on site, something unforeseen was to present itself which means the job may take longer than originally quoted, we will discuss this with you and agree how to proceed.
6.3 Estimates are valid for 30 days, unless otherwise stated.
7. Deposits, Invoices, Charges & Payments
7.1 We require a 50% deposit of the total cost of any estimated works to be paid before commencement, unless otherwise agreed and we reserve the right to request payment in full in advance at our discretion.
7.2 If you need to cancel or re-arrange an appointment, please contact us and we will looks to reschedule at the earliest opportunity. If we arrive at your property and we are unable to gain access, unable to contact you or you cancel on arrival, we reserve the right to charge you one hours labour for our engineers time.
7.3 Once the work is complete, the invoice becomes due immediately. Unless otherwise agreed, we require payment of any outstanding balance by any of the following means; Bank/Credit Card, Bank Transfer or cash within 24 hours.
7.4 If you do not pay the sums due within 7 days, you will be liable to pay a £50 administration fee. If the sums due are not paid within 14 days you will be liable to pay an additional £50 administration fee and if the sums are still overdue after 30 days the matter will be referred to our debt collection partners, to which you agree to cover all our costs.
7.5 If you instruct us to proceed with a job that requires us to purchase goods and then you cancel, we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of our time (charges will be those of our normal hourly rates) and any other losses resulting from the return of the goods purchased.
8. Collecting Goods
8.1 We try to minimise collection of goods by carrying everyday stock items. If however we do need to collect goods to complete the job, we will inform you. The time taken to collect goods is chargeable. We will inform you if we believe this will take more than 1 hour.
8.2 We will endeavour to have all the goods required for a planned job, however we cannot accept liability if the required goods are out of stock, delayed or damaged.
9. Title to Goods.
9.1 Goods supplied and delivered by us to you, or your property shall remain our property until paid for in full. Whilst goods remain our property we have absolute authority to retake, sell or otherwise dispose of all or part of these goods. At any time and without notice we shall also be entitled to enter any premises in which our goods, or part of them, are installed, stored or kept or it is reasonably believed to be so.
10. Guarantee
10.1 We have a 30 day non-transferable guarantee period for our labour (this does not include the goods supplied). If you are not satisfied with our work, you must contact us in writing, within 30 days of the completion of the work so that we can arrange to visit, inspect and complete any necessary remedial work at our expense. You agree that:
10.1.1 If you do not contact us within 30 days we shall have no liability
10.1.2 If we have not received payment within 14 days of the invoice date, then you void all guarantees.
10.1.3 If you ask us to proceed with work against our recommendations then we shall have no liability. These recommendations will be given either orally, or in writing.
10.2 We are unable to guarantee our work if goods are misused, treated negligently or if our work is modified or tamped with by anyone other than us.
10.3 We are unable to guarantee stopcocks, isolation valves or gate valves, we take no responsibility if these are to fail after we have turned them on/off, unless we have installed it, and then only for 30 days.
10.4 We are unable to guarantee any work to unblock waste or drainage pipes.
10.5 Many goods come with a manufactures warrantee and/or guarantee. All boiler manufactures require that the boiler is serviced at least annually by a suitably qualified person or the warrantee and/or guarantee will be void.
11. Liability
11.1 We shall not be held liable for any delay, or consequence of any delay, in performing our obligations if such a delay is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.
11.2 We accept no liability for any furniture/belongings that we need to move for access, nor do we take responsibility for moving these items back after the works are finished; we’re only responsible for works to the appliances and associated wiring/pipework and the covers/materials that give us immediate access to the appliances/infrastructure that our works relate to.
12. Representation
12.1 We reserve the right, at our discretion, to choose who will represent us.
12.2 We will ensure that our representative is suitably qualified for the work you have asked us to do.
